Beyond social media updates or occasional letters, we at the Culinary Arts Foundation of Thailand (CAFot),
in collaboration with Northern Smile Travel, invite you on a unique 10-day journey to see your impact firsthand.
This immersive trip through Chiang Mai, Thailand, offers a deep dive into how CAFot helps, organizes, and teaches students. You'll even get to visit our facilities and, as a bonus, experience the rich tastes and cultures of Chiang Mai.
Who We Are
CAFoT in colaboration with Northern Smile travel
The Culinary Arts Foundation of Thailand (CAFot)
is dedicated to empowering vulnerable Thai and Burmese youth through comprehensive culinary arts education.
We provide a 12-week curriculum, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to secure sustainable employment in the culinary industry. Our goal is to train 250+ students over the next five years, creating lasting positive change in our community.

For over 20 years, Northern Smile Travel has been crafting awe-inspiring travel experiences. Their expertise lies in designing sightseeing escapades and curating activities that truly unveil the heart and soul of each destination. With their deep local wisdom and regional insights, they uncover hidden gems to create unparalleled itineraries.

This 10-day Chiang Mai itinerary in October 2025 focuses on cultural experiences, nature, and local interactions.
Accommodation:
The Rim Resort (4-star) for most of the trip, then Baan Mon Muan (mountain resort) for 1 night.
Highlights include:
Cultural Immersion: Traditional Thai Lanna Home Cooking, Khan Toke Dinner, Bo Sang Handicraft Village, Sunday Walking Street Market, visiting Doi Pui Hmong Hilltribe Village, and Warorot Market.
Nature & Animals: Half-day Elephant Sanctuary experience, Mae Ping River dinner cruise, Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden, Mae Sa Valley (Snake Farm, Orchid Farm, Insect Farm), and the Secret Monk's Trail.
Dining: A variety of local and international cuisines, including French-inspired, Northern Thai, Indonesian/Malaysian/Thai fusion, Italian, and traditional Lanna/Burmese/Shan dishes. Also includes Moo Krata or Shabu.
Shopping: Sunday Walking Street Market, local handicraft shops, Thai Silk Village, modern shopping malls (Central Festival or MAYA), and Chiang Mai Night Bazaar.
CAFoT Involvement: A welcome meeting with a CAFOT representative on arrival day and a full day visiting CAFoT on Day 5, with a thank you ceremony on the departure day.

We are seeking 10 or more travellers who are eager to witness firsthand how their generosity can nurture the dreams of our students.
To participate in this meaningful cultural and educational experience,
each traveller is asked to contribute a donation of $5,000 USD.
However, you don’t have to travel to make a difference.
Contributions from friends, family, and community members can help us reach our collective goal.
Once we have gathered these vital donations, we will welcome our dedicated travellers on this life-changing adventure.
